How does the Alpha & Beta Bi-Phasic Skin Peel Work?
This unique peel consists of an application of Salicylic Acid followed by an application of Glycolic Acid. For optimal results, patients should have peels once a week for six weeks, followed by monthly peels. Patients should begin with light peels and progress to medium and deep peels. To help compliment and maintain the results of the peels, patients should use Maintenance products in conjunction with their peel routine.
**How do I decide which % to utilize?
Percentages amongst acids are difficult to navigate. A low percentage of one type of acid may be stronger than a lesser percentage of another acid. To give an estimate of the strength of the Glycolics and Salicylics I will do a little table of strength below to help you with choosing which acid and % is right for you.
Weakest - strongest * You will see that Salicylics have more strength.
1. 3% Salicylic (very light peel).
2. 30% Glycolic
3. 50% Glycolic & 15% Salicylic (very close strengths).
4. 25% Salicylic
5. 70% Glycolic --- * If you are purchasing this most likely you will be using it to create a lesser strength glycolic percentage, so go by that to see where it fits into the chart above.
-If you are a beginner with NORMAL skin, then you will want to start off with a 3% Salicyic/30% Glycolic. This will give you a stronger peel than just utilizing the Glycolic itself. When you are ready to move to a stronger peel - choose to either up the percentage of the Glycolic OR the Salicylic - not both at the same time.
-If you are a beginner and have OILY/ACNE skin or clogs you may want to start with the salicylic 15% and the 30% Glycolic. Next time you may want to upgrade to either the 25% Salicylic or the 50% Glycolic. Go slowly - and get samples to test out which acids will work best for you.
-If you have normal skin and just want a deeper peel than a traditional Glycolic peel then opt for the 15% Salicylic followed by the 50% Glycolic.

Research shows that Glycolic Acid will penetrate more effectively through an exfoliated surface. Applying Salicylic Acid Exfoliant prior to Glycolic Acid will achieve a superior facial peel.

Unlike some peels, the Bi-Phasic Skin Peel does not damage the skin and has an extremely low rate of allergic reaction and irritation due to the absence of chemical irritants.

With each additional Peel the skin is noticeably smoother, softer and more evenly pigmented. Fine lines, large pores and acne scars become less noticeable.
Phase 1: SALICYLIC ACID Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is a highly effective superficial peeling agent and pore cleanser.

Salicylic Acid loosens and removes aging cells, oil and debris attached to the skin surface, stimulates new skin cell production and increased collagen formation, is oil-soluble and lipophilic, thus it is able to penetrate sebum filled follicles and clean out clogged pores, resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin.
Phase 2 : GLYCOLIC ACID Glycolic Acid, otherwise known as Alpha-Hydroxy Acid, or Fruit Acid, is water-soluble and is one of the most effective exfoliation agents known.
Ingredients: Glycolic Acid Ultrapure (tm) (30%-50% pH 2.1), Purified water, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Panthenol, Tretrasodium, EDTA, Methlparaben.

3%-30% Very Gentle and effective!

After receiving my order in the mail, I was very hesitant to start using because I didn't want to damage my skin by doing my own peel; which is why I opted for the 3% salicylic and the 30% Glycolic Bi Phasic peel. I finally got up the courage and did my first peel following the directions I received with my order and everything went fine, no damage done just smoother skin(no peeling). I have not yet experienced any peeling from the two treatments I have done.
I have slightly oily acne prone skin that is very sensitive with large pores and black heads. The peel dries up and gets rid of any pimples I have but with this weaker solution I have not yet noticed any improvement with my pores and blackheads.I'm excited to continue doing my peel every week and once I'm done with this I will definitely move up to the 15% and then 25% Salicylic to use with my 30% glycolic. Also, Along with the bi phasic peel I purchased the 10% glycolic face wash to use before my peel and it works great.

I have been using AHA products for 3 months now and I have been doing prescription medication to help treat my moderate to severe acne. I still kept breaking out until I added the bi-phasic peel to my regimen. I have now done 4 peels, once a week as instructed and I do not have a single breakout on my face and the scarring and hyperpigmentation is actually fading! No doubt in my mind that the prescription is helpfull but I think that getting a layer of skin off is helping the product penetrate and helping keep those pores unclogged. Thank you so much, this product has been amazing for me, it's been horrible not being able to keep up with the breakouts and having to watch my skin get damaged and destroyed. I'm confident it will only get better!

The Bi-Phasic Peel really works. I recommend following the instructions as stated. Try using every week to see a difference. It does get rid of the top layer of skin, but slowly. It's for people who cannot afford to take off 2 weeks from work to have a deeper peel done like TCA. However, it works about the same. Your dark pigmented scars will become lighter with each peel. Your deep pot marks in your face will become more shallow. It also keeps acne at bay because less sebum was allowed to build up under the layers of your skin. It's also getting rid of a few superficial black moles that formed around my nose and on my cheeks.
I will continue to use. I will report later to let you know if the deep pitted scars in my face has completely disappeared because if it does, I will rate this with 5 stars. I know it will take time, but it's worth the wait for me as I cannot afford to take off 2 weeks from work at the moment for a TCA peel. No more putting this and that cream on my face to get rid of scars only for it to just sit on top of my skin.
