The glycolic peels listed on this page are of the buffered variety. Buffering raises the pH level of the acid so that it is not too strong. A higher pH level will slow-down the action of the acid. They can be left on longer than an unbuffered (professional) variety, and are thus safer. These peels are perfect for at-home usage.
Chemical peels are great for use as anti aging treatments, acne treatments, scar treatments and also to refreshen the skin periodically. Glycolic acid is a great "general" type of acid. It is water soluble, and works nicely on most skin types to accelerate the turnover of skin cells, remove lesions, and restore steadiness.

This series of peels (30%-50%) is buffered to a pH of 2.1. The Higher pH level slows down the action of the peel and makes it safer for home usage. Many spas utilize this strength of peel. We suggest this series for beginners. |

I found this website when I enjoyed the benefits of peels performed at a salon, but could not afford it anymore. Platinum skin care provides you with throughout peel directions. The benefits of these peels are the same as the peels at salons. And you could perform them at the privacy of your own home and as often as you need without feeling restricted by your finances. I tried many other Platinum products and I have never been more satisfied. Please don't go away! :)

During my pregnancy my hormones practically ruined my skin. I went to the salon and had a series of 5 30% glycolic peels done. When the results were so-so I went to the dermatologist who also recommended glycolic peels but at a higher strength. The price was 4x as much as the salon!
That's when I found this website. I ordered the 30% glycolic acid and EMU oil. After a month of 1 treatment per week my texture had smoothed out and the red marks from acne had faded completely. At first I could only leave it on for 2-3 minutes and now I worked my way up to several layers and 10-12 minutes. It is a much stronger solution than the salon I went to, be careful not to burn yourself!
