The 30% TCA peel is an extremely deep peel. We do not recommend the direct application of this undiluted solution to your face. This peel in intended to be diluted with the easy to follow instructions included with the package. The 30% strength will end up saving beginning users, as well as long time users money, since the percentages can be graduated as you move along with your regimen. There are instances where you can apply this undiluted to a scar (TCA CROSS), or on the body. We recommend using extreme caution when doing this. TCA is generally considered safe for darker skinned individuals. TCA will improve color, freshness, texture, skin tone, and fine wrinkles. It will also improve superficial discoloration, such as age spots. It may improve blotches and can sometimes improve dark circles under your eyes. TCA is a natural 2nd step when other acids stop producing benefits.
*You must prepare your skin for any acid peel (especially a medium depth acid such as TCA). Please follow the picture link below to learn all about peels and peeling. If you are prone to fever blisters, the acid can cause a breakout. Prescription medications must be used before a TCA peel is applied or the breakouts could cause scarring. TCA may produce some unintended color changes in the skin. This may be prevented by using a bleaching cream 2-3 weeks prior to treatment and usually occurs with darker skin, but can occur in light skin. We highly recommend the Fading Gel for this purpose.
After
you have prepared your skin for 2 weeks (using Fading Gel if you have
pigmented skin or are prone to freckling), we suggest the following
application process:
- Wash face with acidic cleanser.
- Dry and apply 1-2 layers of Peel Prep Solution B. This will aid in numbing the skin slightly for a more comfortable peel.
- Air Dry.
- Apply peel for suggested time frame on direction sheet.
- Rinse well with cool - cold water.
Understanding Layers
***We do not recommend the TCA 30 being applied straight or in layers (unless you are formulating it to a lower percentage - then those lower % layers can be applied multiple times). TCA gets its strength from being applied in multiple layers. A layer is a single application of the acid during a peel treatment. Multiple layers will be applied to progress the peel deeper into the skin – without washing off any previous layers. The first layer is applied (approximately a 3-5 minute time frame) - the proteins in the skin coagulate, then the peel self-neutralizes. Then the second layer is applied directly on top of the first. It will go through the first layer and coagulate the layer below (another 3-5 minutes) then self-neutralize. This process generally goes 2-5 layers.** If you have never had a TCA Peel before, we suggest applying only 1 layer the first time you perform the peel. You can then strengthen the peel with additional layers as you move forward in the process. We suggest the 12.5% for beginners and those with sensitive skin. **For reference - the Obaji Blue Peel is either a 15% or 20% (doctor's preference/patient's skin) TCA

Prep Solution B SD Alcohol 90%, Phenol 1%, Water. (2oz.)

I'm a guy who uses TCA. TCA is a miracle product really. It's unbelievable the improvement that you can make in your skin for so cheap and so simply by using TCA peels. A word of caution should definitely be taken, though, when using the 30% It is VERY strong, and if you do it in multiple layers, you WILL burn sores into your face and not be presentable in public for a good 2 weeks. Take it from me. I now use the 20%, which is still strong enough but not quite as dangerous. I just did 2 layers of 20% and my skin looks great. The fine lines on my forehead and under my eyes are completely gone. My skin is also smooth and soft.

I'm not sure if I can recommend this product. It's a good peel, but if you apply it properly ( 5 min on entire face), you will have a SIGNIFICANT downtime. They don't really mention here how bad it can get. That needs to be added. Your skin turns completely red, and after a few days it will turn dark brown, then it will start peeling over several days. It takes up to two weeks for your skin to look normal again. I've had several peels done at the Spa, I then decided to do it at home. TCA is really strong. I only had it on my skin for about 2 min. and it took a week to heal. 5 min took much, much longer to heal ( 2 weeks). You won't be able to go to work looking like this. Trust me. Again, I don't know why it's not really mentioned here. I think you're better off with the 12.5% and apply it regularly ( every 2 weeks or so). Unless you have some vacation or work somewhere where you can show up looking like this, you shouldn't use the 30%.

I do very (!) light peels (about 2-4 times / month) and it has improved my skin dramatically. I have tried everything in the world to improve my acne and nothing has worked as well as this (except strong antibiotics, which I don't want to take constantly). This doesn't irritate my skin like Retin-A or benzoyl peroxide. I am so happy to have found this!

Plantinum skin care has the real TCA peels. They come in the percentages that they are supposed to be. I bought a 30% peel from another site one time and it was extremely weak and diluted. Good products!

I have tried every serum, cream, lotion available that promised to reverse hyperpigmentation/melasma (due to 10+ years of birth control/hormone treatment) and nothing worked. With one treatment of TCA peel 30 almost 100% of my sun damage is gone! I've gone from wearing heavy makeup daily to cover and try to even out discoloration to just a tiny bit of concealer on under eye circles and blush. Yes, you do look scary for about a week, but the outcome is worth the few days. It does hurt even with the peel prep, but the pain doesn't last for more than 5 minutes. The directions included are complete and in-depth-Platinum does a wonderful job to insure that you understand every step. I also highly recommend using the Emu oil for after care...it seemed to accelerate healing and has provided wonderful benefits to my skin as I have used it daily since I first did my peel. Thank you Platinum for giving my back the great skin I had 10 years ago!!
