The 30% TCA peel is an extremely deep peel. We do not recommend the direct application of this undiluted solution to your face. This peel in intended to be diluted with the easy to follow instructions included with the package. The 30% strength will end up saving beginning users, as well as long time users money, since the percentages can be graduated as you move along with your regimen. There are instances where you can apply this undiluted to a scar (TCA CROSS), or on the body. We recommend using extreme caution when doing this. TCA is generally considered safe for darker skinned individuals. TCA will improve color, freshness, texture, skin tone, and fine wrinkles. It will also improve superficial discoloration, such as age spots. It may improve blotches and can sometimes improve dark circles under your eyes. TCA is a natural 2nd step when other acids stop producing benefits.
*You must prepare your skin for any acid peel (especially a medium depth acid such as TCA). Please follow the picture link below to learn all about peels and peeling. If you are prone to fever blisters, the acid can cause a breakout. Prescription medications must be used before a TCA peel is applied or the breakouts could cause scarring. TCA may produce some unintended color changes in the skin. This may be prevented by using a bleaching cream 2-3 weeks prior to treatment and usually occurs with darker skin, but can occur in light skin. We highly recommend the Fading Gel for this purpose.
After
you have prepared your skin for 2 weeks (using Fading Gel if you have
pigmented skin or are prone to freckling), we suggest the following
application process:
- Wash face with acidic cleanser.
- Dry and apply 1-2 layers of Peel Prep Solution B. This will aid in numbing the skin slightly for a more comfortable peel.
- Air Dry.
- Apply peel for suggested time frame on direction sheet.
- Rinse well with cool - cold water.
Understanding Layers
***We do not recommend the TCA 30 being applied straight or in layers (unless you are formulating it to a lower percentage - then those lower % layers can be applied multiple times). TCA gets its strength from being applied in multiple layers. A layer is a single application of the acid during a peel treatment. Multiple layers will be applied to progress the peel deeper into the skin – without washing off any previous layers. The first layer is applied (approximately a 3-5 minute time frame) - the proteins in the skin coagulate, then the peel self-neutralizes. Then the second layer is applied directly on top of the first. It will go through the first layer and coagulate the layer below (another 3-5 minutes) then self-neutralize. This process generally goes 2-5 layers.** If you have never had a TCA Peel before, we suggest applying only 1 layer the first time you perform the peel. You can then strengthen the peel with additional layers as you move forward in the process. We suggest the 12.5% for beginners and those with sensitive skin. **For reference - the Obaji Blue Peel is either a 15% or 20% (doctor's preference/patient's skin) TCA

I have tried every serum, cream, lotion available that promised to reverse hyperpigmentation/melasma (due to 10+ years of birth control/hormone treatment) and nothing worked. With one treatment of TCA peel 30 almost 100% of my sun damage is gone! I've gone from wearing heavy makeup daily to cover and try to even out discoloration to just a tiny bit of concealer on under eye circles and blush. Yes, you do look scary for about a week, but the outcome is worth the few days. It does hurt even with the peel prep, but the pain doesn't last for more than 5 minutes. The directions included are complete and in-depth-Platinum does a wonderful job to insure that you understand every step. I also highly recommend using the Emu oil for after care...it seemed to accelerate healing and has provided wonderful benefits to my skin as I have used it daily since I first did my peel. Thank you Platinum for giving my back the great skin I had 10 years ago!!

Did the peel to reduce scarring on a dodgy tattoo,did a two layer peel, really stung, frosted immediately and started peeling after a few days, seems as if its made a slight difference, I knew it would need many treatments and am very happy with the product, will be ordering again,postage took about 8 weeks to England if this happens to you don't panic, when the package arrived the date posted was immediately after I placed the order so it was the fault of the postal service.

I've had issues with horrible cystic acne all over my back, chest, and arms. My origional wedding date was August 15th, but I pushed it to April 25th 2010 b/c I refused to even try on wedding dresses! I've spent thousands of dollars on laser treatments, chemical peels at spas, and dermabrasion on my body-- nothing work! They 'brightened' my skin, but the hyperpigmentation and acne remained. I did 1 layer of the TCA 30 peel on a section of my back and had DRAMATIC results!! There is NO acne in that are and the pigmentation is practically gone- it looks like adorable freckles lol... I cried my eyes out once the area healed because I finally found something that truely helped me. This product is amazing and recomend it to anyone who's going through what I went through for years... I avoided prom dresses, theam parks (so I wouldn't have to put on a swim suit)- for years!! I have now set appointments to find a wedding dress. This has really changed my life-- no more hidding for me!!

I once made the mistake of ordering a competitor's product and it was nowhere as effective as this one. I really do like the formulation of Platinum Skin Care's peels. They are strong and peel deeply. I don't want to second guess a peel's potency.
That said, I am not convinced that TCA 30 is much stronger that TCA 20, which sells for less money.
