Jessners Chemical Peel

When you are dealing with cystic and stubborn acne, many times milder acids are just not enough to control the deep, underlying issues. An acid that can generate a more, aggressive peel is the best way to go, as these clogs tend to run much deeper into the epidermis. Just because these peels are deeper though, does not mean that they are intolerable. Just as with the milder hydroxy acids, your irritation will be based on your personal levels.

Jessners and TCA both fall into the medium depth peels category. Both require that you pre-treat your skin with a Fade Bright melanin inhibitor and a Vitamin A treatment such as our Retinol .20% for a minimum of 2 weeks. If you have a darker skin type such as asian, black or Italian, a pre-treat of 4-6 weeks is best to avoid any hyper or hypo pigmentation complications.

A Jessners chemical peel is best used for treatment of cystic acne, acne scarring and back acne. This chemical peel will cause frosting almost immediately upon application and will provide you with much peeling. You will most likely want to plan your schedule around this peel, since there will be down time for about 3-4 days. This type of chemical peel is not recommended for overly dry or pigmented skin types (without proper pre-treatments). The Frequently Asked Questions About Chemical Peels section of our website can be very resourceful for first time chemical peel users. And as always, a Platinum Skin Care Chemical Peel Specialist is available to answer any questions you may have about Jessners chemical peel treatments and the results they may render 1-586-598-6093.
