Double Your Irradiance With Our New Illuminate LED

You don't really want to do it more than that. This is one of those things where doing it every single day is not necessary, and it's not going to benefit you in any way. Every other day is fine, and you want to do that for at least four weeks to really start seeing changes in your skin.

Hi there. Today, we are going to talk about something new and exciting that we have here at Platinum Skincare. Red Light Therapy is the craze right now, and of course, we don't want to be left behind. So Platinum Skincare now has our own Illuminate Red Light therapy mask, and today our owner, Jennifer Tilney is going to educate us on everything we need to know about the mask, how to charge it, what to use with it, what not to use with it, and we are just going to dive right in.

Let's Go.

Let's do a little unboxing and see what we have here.

Yes. So now we have two to choose from. We have our face mask, of course, and then we also have the neck and décolleté mask. So we don't have to stop here. We want to go right onto the neck and all the way down here, and I will demonstrate how to put everything on.

Absolutely.

Now, gorgeous box. Very nice, of course, with our beautiful prints in here. And what you're going to find inside here is everybody gets a little silky carry bag. Nice. So you can store it. You don't have to keep it in the box direction manual, which gives you all sorts of great information that you need. Perfect. And I'm going to hold this on my lap. Well, I'll keep it here. So the first thing you're going to pull out, I've got this a little bit put together, is our mask. How cool is that? It looks like it's illuminating before you even turn it on.

Fancy.

And the first thing we want to do is find our controller, and we want to charge this. Now, it may be charged from our trip to your house, and it may not be, but the first step is to charge it, and we give you a little cord here and there's two sides here. There's a C-port and there's a USB port.

Got it.

So we're just going to plug this into the C-port, and then we're going to plug this end into a bit of brick and plug it into our wall.

So, the charging block, plug it in.

Yes. Perfect. Now we're just going to let that charge all this is your battery. We're going to

Charge our battery. So you do not charge the mask, you only charge the controller.

Exactly. Perfect. Alright, so the next thing is we're going to take this plastic off. We would like to be able to breathe and see through the eye holes.

Absolutely.

And we're going to attach our straps.

I find the easiest way to attach this personally, instead of figuring out where it goes, is you attach these, right? Set it on there, and then you're going to adjust this to fit your head. Okay, perfect. Everything is adjustable.

Okay. So, before a customer was, if they were going to use this, what would be the best thing for them to do? There may be a test or something that they should do prior to testing it out on their face.

For sure. That's called a sensitivity test. And what we want to do is we want to take our mask and you can just put it on the inside of your arm, turn it on the highest setting for 10 minutes, and then shut the mask off, put it away, and then just check that area 12 hours later. Most likely nothing's going to happen,

Right?

But if you are red or itchy, or irritated, or anything of that nature, then this mask may not be for you.

Got it.

Right. So, another good thing that we give you, I don't know if you've ever put one of these masks on, but they can be quite blinding if you're trying to do something else, like read or watch TV, especially if you're in a little darker room. So you can put it on like this, or we give you these eye guards, and these are free, and all you do is just slide them in there, pop them into place. And when you put this mask on, now when it's lit up, oops. Gives you a little shielding. Then, from the direct light it does, you will be able to focus on your book or your TV show or whatever you're doing while you're relaxing and putting on your mask. Okay. There, they're on there, you can't even see them. But on the inside, you'll see they stick out a little bit.

Oh yeah.

And that's going to give you a little barrier, almost like you have goggles on. So you'll be able to see perfectly fine. And a couple of other benefits of this mask. You'll see that our nose cutout is very high. So you'll find some of the masks, it's a little bit lower, and when that's on your face, it's just pressure on the top of your nose, and it's very uncomfortable. You keep trying to lift it off, but it's uncomfortable. So this one goes all the way up. So it's going to sit right up here. Perfect. And not be uncomfortable. So that's a lot of the benefits of this.

One. Awesome. Now, are there any products that someone should avoid putting on their skin before putting on the mask?

I would avoid anything. Number one is going to damage the mask. So it says that silicone, so you wouldn't want to put on things like acids or vitamin C. And you also don't want to put on anything that's going to be damaged by light. So you don't want to use your retinoids or your vitamin C or anything like that. It is fine to have a serum on. We suggest a light serum, like the hyaluronic or our regenerate, something like that is fine. You want clean skin, but it is okay to have a serum on. Actually, if your skin is moisturized, the light penetrates even better. It is a good idea to put a serum on to put lovely serum on.

Yeah. These are the two products that would be okay. You want to avoid anything with a lower pH or something that could damage the protective coating on the inside of the mask.

For sure.

Excellent. All right.

Now, how can you often use this mask? Now, obviously, light is not going to hurt you. There's no downtime, there's no irritation. You can use these three to five times a week. What's recommended, think of it every other day, or maybe you can throw an extra day in, and you don't really want to do it more than that. This is one of those things where doing it every single day is not necessary, and it's not going to benefit you in any way. You really, every other day, are fine, and you want to do that for at least four weeks. So, to really start seeing changes in your skin.

Now, what about post peel? What if somebody does a peel and then moisturizes their skin after their peel? Is it okay for someone to use the mask, say, the night that they do their peel?

Absolutely. And that's where we can get into the different wavelengths and all that kind of stuff. But red and near-infrared are very healing. They're healing. So if you've done something that causes inflammation in your skin, like a chemical peel or a needling or even things like a sunburn or they had an IPL session or lasering, CO2, whatever you've done, your skin is irritated and red, you can use a mask like this.

Now, you should be careful to use only the red and infrared. You don't want to use blue or anything like that. Red and infrared are healing colors.

Okay, let's talk about these colors.

Yeah,

Yeah. What colors do we have now?

We have all of the FDA-approved colors. There are only three colors that have been shown to benefit our skin, and that's near infrared and red, and blue. These are the only colors that are documented to work. There's a rainbow of colors out there. It doesn't mean they work, doesn't mean they're beneficial. These are the biggest ones. Now, the one that's going to penetrate the deepest is your infrared.

Okay.

That's really your super important one that's going to help stimulate collagen and heal your skin and rejuvenate it. And then below that, there's red or deep red, there's the variance of red. And then we also have, there is some amber, which is the yellow family.

It's not FDA approved, but it has shown some helpful benefits for hyperpigmentation. So that is here. That will be on at any time. The red light is on, so it'll be infrared red and amber. And then you can also select blue. And blue is known for its antibacterial properties. It's very good for treating acne, especially inflamed acne.

I have heard that the blue light can sometimes cause pigmentation. Is that true?

That is true. You do have to be careful, but there is a trick to stop the blue from causing problems and pigmentation spots, and that is by putting it on at the same time as infrared.

Okay.

So, of course, when you turn the blue on in our mask, you will always have infrared on. So no matter what setting you choose. So, no matter what color you choose, infrared is always on. That's your most potent, powerful color. That's the one you want on all the time anyway.

So, no matter what setting you have on the near infrared is always on.

Always on. Okay. You're always protected against that.

Excellent. How many modes are there

On the face mask? We have two modes, and that's the red or the blue. And you'll make that choice with our controller, and I'm going to show you how to set that up in a sec.

Perfect. And there are different strengths as well for each of those modes, correct?

Yes. So not only can you choose what color you want to use, you can decide how long you want it to stay on, which is anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Excellent. You can also select your i radiancy. And this is the most important thing when you're looking at masks like this: that is where the power comes from. So when you're looking at a professional LED light, you go somewhere and pay a lot of money to get a session there. Those lights start at around 50 and go to hundred. So that is the most common thing you're going to find. Now, with over-the-counter masks such as this, you can find something. Anything from like 25 to 30 is the average. Because this is platinum skincare, though. We don't play that game.

No. We want the most bang for your dollar, right?

No, no, no. So this one on the low starts at 38, and then we go through medium and high. It goes all the way up to 62. So we're going into almost professional setting levels. So that's really cool. So now the most important thing is to make sure that you guys know how to use this once it’s out of the box. Yes. We've got our strap set up, we've got our controller charging, we've got our eye guards in, and this just has a lovely cord that ends in a bit of USB. So what do we do with this? Well, I'm ready to put it on. So I'm going to unplug my controller from the wall.

Perfect.

Yes. And here it is. This is all charged. And we're going to use that USB that's attached to our mask.

Put that on the top side of the charger.

We're going to plug it right in. And now we're going to turn it on. How we turn this on is a long press. Oh, there it is. It's on its set at 10 minutes. And we can adjust the time by pressing this top button. 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes, and it starts over at 10. And in the middle is our mode. So we're going to choose our color. And at the bottom is our radiant setting. So I have turned the mask on, it's on red. If I want to change it, I can touch the mode, and now it's blue. Cool. So this one is red and blue. And let's put it on red for a minute. And now we're going to press this button one and change the strength. So it's on low, medium, and high. And this is really hard to see. Yeah, no, I could see it move.

Yes, over.

Absolutely. Yeah. Low, medium, high. Yep. So we can change that. And I like to do high, of course. And this is it. You're just going to pop this in your pocket, and I'm just going to put the mask on. This is as easy as pie,

Obviously, the longer you use it, the better results you will see. It looks so fancy, it looks very fancy.

Comfortable and it's pretty cozy. It's on here. I don't have a problem at all. Excellent. Cool. See, I can see so well that I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to unbox the neck one. I love it without even taking this off. Nice. So here's our neck one. I'm going to take everything out. Perfect. And here it is. Oh well, I can't, don't have another charger with me, but I'm going to show you how to put this one on. And it's the same thing. This one has our protective coating, plastic coating.

There you go. And this one, all we do to put this on is we attach a band, and let's see if I can see what I'm doing. So that shows how easy this is. You're just going to thread it through, thread it through the hole, and pull it back to where you are comfortable. Oh

Wow. Tuck it in your shirt. Wow. It really, really does. Get your neck, chest all the way there. And I want to talk too, let's think we can use these in other places. We don't have to use it on our face. Lemme take this off for now. We don't have to just use this on our face. This is quite a big piece, so that you can put this on your arm. If you have pigmentation issues or acne issues on your back, you could put this anywhere you like.

The neck one would be great for hands, as well. Hands are a perfect place to put it. And I'm going just to plug this neck one in, and well, it's on already. Yes, it is. And this one has three colors. The yellow is separate on this one. I know a lot of people have dec issues with their hyperpigmentation, so that they could change the color, blue, yellow, red, and infrared, and you can change those colors.

And what does as needed the yellow slash amber do other than the red and blue?

Like I said, it’s not proven at this point. It's beneficial. It's a helpful aid to those who have hyperpigmentation. We have a lot of clients who have hyperpigmentation, especially in this decollete area, for sure.

If it's going to work, if it's going to help even a little bit, we put it in there, and then just a long press to shut it off. I mean, it's that easy.

Yeah, it's so simple. And I would say I find to find time to use these. I don't necessarily use this and run around the house. If I come over from work, I usually have makeup on. And you want clean skin. I find that when I like to do this is at nighttime, when I'm ready to go to bed, I will sit there, and I will go to bed, and I'll put my products on. I'll put that on and I'll just lie in bed and I'll either watch TV and relax or I might read, or sometimes I just lie there and just relax and fall asleep.

Oh, that's nice.

And then when the lights go out, it kind of wakes me up a little. I take it off, put it to the side, and I'm done. I mean, it's so easy to just work into your day. The thing for anything to work, consistency is key, right? You have to use it. Absolutely. You have to use it. You have to use it like that every other day. Yes. But yeah, we're really excited about this. I love it.

Yes, I love mine as well. I have one, I keep it on my nightstand at home. What I did was I removed the foam insert on one of the boxes, and then I kept both of the masks in their separate bag, but they'll fit nicely into one box if you remove that foam. And then I just keep that box on my nightstand so it's there when I go to bed. I see it. It reminds me. And that's the biggest thing is like you said, consistency is key. It's remembering to do it.

Yeah.

Maybe even set a little timer on your phone every other night or something.

Yeah, a little alarm to go off. Hey, put on your mask. Do your mask. Yeah, absolutely. But yeah, I mean it, we're excited. It's an excellent mask. And there's nothing else that you can do for your skin that has just zero downtime, zero pain, no irritation, no nothing. It's just easy and

Beneficial. Now, what about a warranty on this item?

It does come with a warranty. This, for sure, comes with a one-year warranty. So when you take this home, your year starts. Then, if you have any problems with it, just let us know. I would say nobody has had a problem except if they have used something incorrectly, like setting up that controller. That's why I really wanted to go over the fact that that is something that you are, this is your charger, this is your power bank. This is not something that needs to be connected to the wall. Once it's charged, take it off, and then you plug your mask in, pop it in a pocket, and go.

Yes, yes.

That's the easiest thing is just if you have it all connected. Connected, well, no, it's not going to work. This is a standalone

That is your charger. You never have to charge the actual mask. You only charge the handpiece, and then you plug that in, and then you're all set to go.

Yep.

How long will the mask last? Year-wise?

Oh my gosh. The LED lights will last at least 50,000 hours and up. So it's not like this will stop working. It's not like that. If a bulb dies, you'll see all the bulbs on the back here. If one of them dies, then one of them dies. It doesn't make everything stop.

Of course.

They will all work. So, most people will get a few years out of something like this. I mean, it comes with your year warranty, but you will probably get two, three years out of this, and it's probably not even going to die at that point. Maybe you forgot about it, and you change modalities and do this for a while, and then, for a while, forget about it. But when you're ready to buy a new one, then you buy a new one.

And if customers purchase them both, is there a little bit of a discount?

There is a discount. If you buy the face and the neck mask, there is an additional 5% that comes off. And of course, our VIP customers also get special discounting with both the masks, and if you're buying both, there's an additional discount for them as well.

And they save on shipping.

And they save $10 off their shipping. So yeah, it's fun to be VIP here.

Absolutely. Absolutely. Well excellent. Thank you for letting us know exactly how to use our new Illuminate Platinum Skincare red Light therapy mask. We are so excited to add it to our line, and we hope you guys are too.

Thank you so much. Bye.
