The Real Fix for Rough, Uneven Skin—What Actually Works

This one, too, is good for everything. Yes. Moisturizing.

Right. You've got an inflammatory issue that's causing some of your texture issues. Sure, yeah.

Because this helps to target the root cause of inflammatory issues. So during the winter months, a lot of times your skin gets a little rough, a little dry. You know, just the texture is not fabulous.

Yeah. Yeah. Not only on the body.

Not that smooth skin that people are looking for. Yeah, not only on the body, on the face as well. Yeah.

So yeah, what do you recommend so people can get really nice, smooth, just beautiful glass-looking skin? Right. Smooth, clear. Well, I mean, this is like the goal always, right? Just follow our regimens.

Yes. But number one, I would say if your skin is rough in any way, shape, or form, you need to exfoliate. Right.

You are not using an acid every day. Sure. Which is why in our regimen, step number one is using an acid cleanser.

Right. If you're not, or let's say you are, and your skin is still rough, you may need more exfoliation. So you can do things like a serum, like our Serum 15, something, maybe you just need a little bit more.

If you're still rough, I would suggest that, which is a stronger leave-on acid. Yes. Or when you're washing your face, like me personally, I like to use one of those little flat netted ones, I don't want to say it's a netted puff.

It's not a puff, it's flat. And it's woven. I always put my cleanser not twice a day.

At night, I just use my cleanser. Yeah. In the morning, I put my cleanser on there, and then I give my face a good scrubbing.

Okay. In the morning and that gets the dead skin off. Now you can do that too with our Dermazyme.

Yeah. That is a great way to get that off because that's a combination of enzymes and actual Dermabrasion scrubbing beads in like three different sizes and you can scrub it on and then you can leave it on and then scrub it off after the enzymes have, or you could just, you know, lay it on your skin gently if you're more sensitive and then wipe it off. But that will help to get that dead skin off and give you that smooth, clear... Yeah.

Because, you know, as long as it's still moist, like once it dries, the enzymes are done. Right. So as long as it's still, you know, movable on your skin, let it go.

You know, most people try to find ways to make it active longer. Yeah. You could certainly, you know, do that as you're getting into the shower, kind of prolong it, just do some other things, do body work first in the shower, wash your face last.

That's a super way to get that dead skin off to help with the roughness. Your skin feels so good, and your products just glide on. Yeah, they do.

If I'm, like, going anywhere... One of my favorite products that we have. If I am going anywhere at all, like an event or a wedding, going out, whatever it is, I will do that before I, you know, put my makeup on. And then what else do I put on my face? There are a lot of other things you can put on your face to really get that smooth, hydrated look.

So let's say you've exfoliated and now you want it to, like, be moisturized and nice and hydrated, dewy look. Right. So put things on your skin.

Like, I always put hyaluronic on. Hyaluronic is key. Put that on damp skin.

Sure. Like, right after you rinse all that off, your face is still kind of damp. Put some of this on, or you could also put Regenerate on.

That has a lot of hyaluronic acid in it. Yeah. Then you want to put a nice cream on top to really seal in that moisture, like our Derma Snap.

This would be a super cream to put on top of your hyaluronic. And then, of course, oils always go last. And you could use Emoil.

You could use this one right here, our Essential FX. A lot of times I'll add a couple of drops to, you know, my creams or my serums just to, you know, have a little bit more glowier look. Like, that's what I did today.

But yeah, so these, you've smoothed it, and now these are going to give you that hydrated, nice look throughout the day. I think that's a super way to start. Now, also, you want to use things like retinoids every single day, because these constantly keep your skin turning over.

Turning over, turning over. It, like, hyper accelerates the turnover of your skin. So you've always got fresh, glowing skin.

So if we're talking about, like, you know, blotchiness and discoloration and things like that, you know, this will help to get those off more quickly. If you have a lot of discoloration, you know, let's just mention that for a sec. We could use something like Fade Bright.

Yeah. And this would go on first, actually, before your other things, because this has acids and alcohols in it. But if you still put this on damp skin, just a little tiny bit, and then you put your other things on top, you'll still stay nice and moisturized.

Sure. You know, people worry about, oh, I'm putting this on. This has, like, you know, the acids.

They're going to dry my skin out. But it doesn't. Unless you're overusing it, I would say.

Less is more. So you can do a peel, of course. Yes.

Now, it doesn't have to be a strong peel. It can be something like the Lactic 50, which causes literally no visible downtime. Right.

Maybe you might get a little tiny dry. Little dryness, little flaking that those superficial peels are formulated so you do not see a ton of visible downtime. Peeling.

And it's the beauty of the peel. Yeah. So, I mean, people like us who are going to work every day and don't want to have that downtime and flaking, even though we could come here and nobody would even think anything else.

I have had to walk in the front lobby with my face peeling, and I'm like, I'm sorry. Very true. I just did a peel.

I've been there. They just laughed. They're like, oh, that's okay.

Yeah, they're intrigued. I wouldn't have even noticed. A lot of times, they're super intrigued and they just want to know, you know, everything about what you did.

And, you know, then you're like, yeah, you're self-conscious. And now they're really zoning in. They're like, checking all that out.

That is kind of coming off your face. Interesting. Yeah.

Don't do that. Well, you could do that right before an event. Some people will do that before they go for a mild peel.

The milder acids. I've heard that as well. Yep.

They say their skin looks amazing the day after. But obviously you'd always want to test this out before you do this before a night out, you know, or something. But that is very common.

I speak to a lot of people on the phone, and they say the next day after, like a Mandelic or a Lactic, they say their skin is just. It's like glass. Yeah.

Nice and taunt and just looking fabulous. Yeah. So that's a good one.

And obviously, you know, my original point was, well, you can't do it right before. But then I was like, well, maybe you can. Right.

You can. Yeah. But I would I would try to make this our goal is to have your skin smooth all the time and reduce that texture.

So you want to do peels. You want to do a regimen of those, at least six to eight. And once you've done that, your skin is going to stay smooth, and you're using retinoids and using daily acids, it's going to stay smooth.

You can cut back on your peels, you know, maybe do, you know, one a month or something like that. I have to say Dream Peel is one of my favorites for just a really nice, smooth look. I mean, you don't even have to do it for three consecutive days.

I like to do it for one, maybe two consecutive days. And, you know, it kind of sneaks up on you. Yeah.

You feel OK for a day or two, and then you get a little bit more sensitive. You get quite a bit of flaking. I love to use Hyaluronic and Regenerate during the day to kind of mask that flakiness.

But I'm telling you, I get so many compliments on my skin after a Dream Peel. It just makes your skin look really, really. Refined and glowing.

Yeah. Your pores look really minimized. And it makes me think too, like I had somebody ask me the other day, and she was very sensitive to the Dream Peel, and it is very strong, right? Not everybody tolerates this high of a percentage of retinoid.

But she asked me if she could leave it on for a shorter amount of time. And I'm like, well, yeah. You know, that could be like a great thing for a lot of people who are sensitive to this.

So we're normally saying, you know, leave this on. I want to say it says six to eight hours, somewhere on here. It says six to eight hours.

I get a bit of a warming sensation with it. I know I have had that feeling before. Oh, I will feel if I put this on, I will feel like literally my face is hot.

Yes. Like in the next couple of days. I kind of get a glow to my skin after, like the next day or two before that peeling starts.

It almost looks like you might have like a little bit of a fever. Like if you went running or exercising. Yes, like after you work out or if you have a little bit of a sunburn, but not really a sunburn.

Yeah, just that rosy glow. Yeah, like a rosy glow. That is the perfect explanation, I guess.

And I think if you put it on for even a shorter amount of time, more people could use it for, you know, something like that. Like, you know, leave it on for two hours. Yeah.

As opposed to six to eight hours or something like that, you can still get that, you know, smoothing benefit, and maybe not all the downtime. I'm going to try that.

Yeah. I swear I'm going to put it on and leave it on for maybe like two hours or three hours, wash it thoroughly off, and then see, you know, what I get. Because I think that'll be a good option for people.

Make sure that you're using, following the directions, putting the petroleum jelly or Vaseline around the eyes. And caution on the neck and décolleté. The neck and deck.

Those are so sensitive. And that warning is on the back here. Yes.

You know, either mix it with another cream or serum to dilute it and put it on. Yeah. Or put a little bit of, and not everybody is even sensitive in those areas.

To be honest, I can put it on without a problem. But for, I swear for every person like me, they can put it on. Yeah.

Or 10 of me, then there's one person that's just like, oh my gosh, they're all like red and have issues. So you really need to be careful. You need to test it.

Yeah. And go slow with that. But yeah, nice and glowy.

Absolutely. Smooth, healthy skin. One other thing I was like, we've kind of talked about this, we're exfoliating, and we're really deeply hydrating.

There are actually two things I could talk about as a matter of fact. So, from the new line, the Alqemi line, the EXO-AD, which is the human adipose exosomes. This is really good for whatever is wrong with your skin, telling your body to fix it.

Right. That's like, that's the goal with an exosome. It doesn't just, you know, stimulate one little thing and tell you one thing.

It has hundreds of things it can take care of at a time. So if you are dealing with, you know, texture issues and discoloration issues and any kind of skin issues, something is not acting right. Start adding some exosomes into your regimen.

And they're also deeply hydrating, too. Super smart. Super smart.

Smart skincare. This is a smart ingredient. Just kind of like, you know, we think of like Emu oil for any kind of wound, any kind of this, any kind of that.

Like I'm thinking of this in that same fashion. Like, oh, it's good for everything. It's good for everything.

I like this, this is a super, super one. And the PDRN too. So we got the EXO-PDRN.

This one, too, is good for everything. Yeah. Moisturizing.

Right. You've got an inflammatory issue that's causing some of your texture issues. Yeah.

Cause this helps to target the root cause of inflammatory issues. So if inflammation is causing, you know, discoloration and redness and blotchiness and things like that in your face, something like the PDRN can be very helpful. And you can mix these two, too.

I wanted to say that, you know, this is a liquid serum and this is a powder. You can mix these two together. Like you activate the powder with this serum, apply it like a serum, you know, to really help a lot of different issues.

That's amazing. But yeah, I mean, that's, that's it. Let's just keep in mind.

You've got like texture problems, exfoliate, and then hydrate. And heal if you need to. Excellent.

Good advice. Good advice. Super.

Excellent.
