The Truth About Sunscreen No One Is Telling You

And you know how, like, when you have a toddler, how you are so, oh, put the sunscreen on, reapply, reapply.

You care about their skin.

Well, it's like, you know.

Care about your own.

We have skin, too. Like, let's not forget about it. It's the same skin as your little, you know, toddler baby has.

And if you had babied your skin like you babied your child's skin, your skin would probably be in better shape now.

And the reason I think we pay so much attention to the little ones is because, you know, you don't want them to get sunburned. But you're not really thinking of any damage.

Yeah, you're not thinking about all the other damage that's happening every single day.

Right, right.

And when it's like wintertime and stuff, you don't put it on their faces. But you should be.

Yeah. Especially if you're in the water, too, because you get the reflection from the water. And you know how the little ones always get the rosy cheeks right away because they're, you know, in the water, floating up and down. And so, yeah.

Yeah, they're getting that, like, sun damage, sunburn.

So treat your skin as you would your toddler's.

Right. In the midst of summertime, in the pool. That's how you should be treating your skin every single day.

Alright, the SPF debate. We are going to talk about the good side, the bad side, and chemical sunscreen versus physical sunscreen. People who love it, people who hate it. Let's just break it all down.

Yeah.

And let's just dive in. Let's talk about what platinum skincare carries and why.

Yeah. So, obviously, when we're talking about the health of your skin, one of the most important things that you can do is to protect it from the sun and UV damage. And I know everybody's like, the sun is so good for you. Yeah, the sun is good for you. But it doesn't have to be on your face. It can be on your arms. It takes about 10 minutes of sun to get the vitamin D that you need. And you don't even have to go into the sun. You can take a vitamin D supplement. Okay? So, don't give me that. That, oh, I have to be in the sun, and I have to get a tan. No, tan is damaged. Okay? So, as long as we understand that.

And there are tons of sunless options. Creams and things.

Oh, gosh, there's so much.

So many now.

There's so much you can do.

Yeah.

So, obviously, everybody needs SPF. Everybody needs SPF every single day, even in the wintertime. So, looking around, gosh, it's been years now, many years now. I finally found COTZ. I really, really like their sunblock. I love everything they offer. They're concerned about the reef. They're concerned about, you know, the health of your skin. They don't use chemical sunscreens. They use physical sunscreens. They're like dermatologists recommended. They have a lovely variety of colors, tints, and non-tinted options. So, I have chosen to carry their products. And we have several here. One, two, three, four, five different ones that we carry and have carried for years. And I think that these are perfect. So, we can always talk about, like, what they can be used for, the different types, and all that kind of stuff. But, obviously, like, number one, we want to talk about what, sun damage?

Yeah.

Point number one.

So, point number one is UV damage causes cumulative photoaging. So, I want to highlight this right here. I don't know if I'm going to say this right. The NAMBOR trial followed 903 adults in Australia for 4.5 years. And participants who used broad-spectrum sunscreen every day showed zero detectable increase in aging. Those who used sunscreen only occasionally showed measurable photoaging. That means they're getting pigmentation. Or they're getting sunspots over time.

Sure.

Yep.

From not using it. So, that's a pretty clear…

And they're occasionally using it. It's not even that they never use it. They are using it sometimes.

And it says without sunburns, too. So, like, a lot of people only feel like they're getting damaged if they have a sunburn.

That's true. And it's just the daily…

So, the daily sunscreen group had 24% less skin aging.

Wow.

And the older you get, the more that that starts…

That really adds up.

It does.

A hundred. That's a quarter of a hundred. That's a lot. That's a humongous number.

So, then, this one is... Sun exposure directly causes what our brand essentially helps people with. It's pigmentation and age spots. Or one of the keys…

Yeah, that's huge. I mean, if we get 10 calls, probably 50% of them are on hyperpigmentation.

For sure.

And if you stayed out of the sun and didn't get, you know, UV damage every single day, and you weren't tanning or doing things like that, you wouldn't have hyperpigmentation.

Sure.

I mean, when we all come out of our mothers, our skin is perfect.

Absolutely.

And that's because, yeah, you're not in the sun. It's those years of sun damage that cause it, and that keeps you constantly having it. Because there is no getting away from the sun.

No.

I mean, it's here. It's going to warm our planet forever. And we've got to protect ourselves from it.

Yeah. That's why when I get phone calls from, like, let's say somebody who's a truck driver, their left arm has more sun damage than their right arm.

Even with the window up. Because it goes through glass. I don't think it does.

It's interesting, you know. And yeah. You definitely are, even when you don't even think you're getting exposed.

Yeah. There's a great picture of a man. I think he must have been, like, a truck driver or something. There's a picture of a man on the internet. And one half of his face, I mean, let's say he looks like he's about 95. And then the other side, he looks like, you know, maybe his age. I mean, like, 60 or something.

Sure.

Yeah. That one. That's the one. Like, the damage is all on the one side, his driving side.

Oh my. Yeah. I totally see that. Yeah.

Yeah. It's amazing.

Wow.

The difference that the sun can cause. That picture must have been out for 20 years.

He says he was a truck driver. Yeah.

Yeah.

That is, that's the picture.

Wow.

And that is what the sun does to you. And that's what happens when you don't use sunblock.

Wow.

It damages your collagen.

Yes.

And that's what, you know, keeps your skin nice and plump and looking young.

Absolutely.

And it's what we lose as we age. The last thing you want to do is help it along its way.

Right.

Go ahead. Get out of here, collagen. We don't need you anymore. Right. That's what the sun is doing.

And as we've discussed in a previous podcast, our internal DNA enzymes can only repair what, 50%?

About 50% per day.

So then that starts piling up, you know.

That does. Every single day, you're at a deficit, you know.

Yeah.

You've still got more to take care of. So, yeah, that's kind of like why I threw these products up here real quick.

Sure.

Because SPF, that's a huge part of it. But you still have damage that can get through SPF.

Sure.

That can get through everything, you know.

Yeah.

And it's reflecting up at your face. Different things are happening when you're out there. And you also want to add extra things. That's what we're talking about, the DNA repair enzymes. Sure. That's why we have the Cell Intel on the PDRN with DNA repair. Because we want to add things like that into our daily regimen, too. So not only are we protecting ourselves with SPF, but we're also fighting anything that gets through there.

Obviously, physical barriers are very important. So, wearing a large hat and large sunglasses.

Yeah.

Some people who, you know, will do the sleeves on their arms.

I see people with visors.

Yeah.

Like our people that are doing peels, and they're just, no way is sun touching my face.

They're serious.

That pisses me off. But I'm a big proponent of the hats.

Yeah.

Like nice big wide hat because you need to be, your face needs to be shaded.

Yes.

Like, if you've got a baseball cap on, that's not helping you. That might be helping the tip of your forehead.

True.

But that's not helping the rest of your face. That just depends on the angle of the sun. That's why a big hat.

Very true.

Goes all the way around. Probably like a floppy one is even better because now you are in the shade.

Yes.

And that's what's going to help. And I would have SPF on. I would have a hat on. I would have all that kind of stuff on if I were out. And I do go out. We have a boat. You have a boat. Same thing. I may have my swimsuit on, but my face is protected.

We also have kayaks, and my husband likes to fish. Like we camp a lot. So you go to campgrounds here in Michigan. There are little lakes and such. So we'll bring our kayaks. And I literally have an umbrella in my kayak. So I pop up my umbrella. My husband is fishing, and I'm just sitting there. Do, do, do. Because the sun's fierce.

It is. It is. And it's not just a burn. Right? So it's not like where people think, well, I didn't get burned, so I don't have damage. That's not true.

Yeah.

I mean, you know, we've learned by talking about the DNA repair enzymes a lot. How many thousands and thousands of damages.

Sure.

That is happening to your DNA and all that kind of stuff from the UV rays. Just natural UV rays that are damaging. You know? So, I mean, we need to protect that.

Yes, we do. So you need to reapply often, too.

Yeah. It's not just one-and-done. Right? You've got to put it on. They say if you're going to be in the sun, you know, about every two hours. If you're swimming, I think it's maybe every hour.

Got it.

As needed. I know some, some body ones are a little bit more waterproof, but I still think it's about an hourly reapplication.

Right, right. For most.

The one point I found interesting in this was that it says physical barriers aren't enough. Like they're good, but they're only providing, you know, 30 to 60% of UV protection.

Sure.

Yeah, you need to do both.

You need to do it all.

You need to do both. And that's what I always tell people. I'm like, I mean, SPF 50, 40 is okay. It really depends on your skin color.

Right.

Because darker skin may not need as high an SPF.

Absolutely.

But I still think 40 is probably the minimum.

Yeah.

SPF 50 for most people and shade. Shade your face, stay under an umbrella, or wear a big hat. Things like that will help you to, you know, protect against those damages.

I'm a firm believer, too, because after living in Florida for like a year, I noticed I had more damage, I would say, in the peripherals. So like around my cheekbones.

Got it.

You see spotting.

I was on a boat a lot. I was on the beach a lot.

Yep.

And then I looked at my, you know, my back, and I'm going, holy crap, there's more.

Oh, yeah.

Yes, you're back.

Some damage there.

Sure.

And I'm a pretty fair-skinned person, so.

Yes, yeah.

I'm a huge believer. And I was going to tell my story with my wife, Rachel, really committing to the SPF.

Mm-hmm.

And really, like, really doing it, because we boat, too.

Yes.

And, you know, obviously, we live, like, we're located right near one of the coolest lakes in the nation.

We're very fortunate.

Yes.

Yeah.

Lake St. Clair is really cool. But you know, once she committed to really doing SPF and protecting her skin with hats and other things.

Sure.

Like her, I think this is, I wanted to bring up the point that daily sunscreen use can reverse visible signs of aging. And she's a perfect example of it.

Yeah.

It has really made an impact over the years.

Sure.

Of doing those little habits.

Mm-hmm.

Her face looks a lot clearer.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Less pigmentation, because it's healing. It's not all those cumulative damages at the same rate as before.

Right. And that's the thing. It's just, like, building upon, upon, upon, upon, upon, like, every single day, more, more, more, more.

Right.

Now you're, like, giving your skin a chance.

Right. Exactly.

You know, you're protecting it, and now it's got that chance to heal. And use the ingredients that you're putting on it. Let those retinoids work and actually make a difference.

Oh, yeah.

Let the acids work and make a difference.

For sure.

You have to, it's not, it's not just one or the other. It's like, if you're just using your skincare products and not putting on SPF, you're taking one step forward and three steps back.

Sure. Yes.

Because you're just, you're just gonna get more damage. And, you know, then there's a, there's, there's a difference, and I wanted to kind of, like, mention, too, like, there's a big hate brigade on, you know, SPFs and stuff like that. Like, no, it's good to get sun. Like I said before, yeah, it's good to get some sun.

Yes.

You don't need the sun for your vitamin D. You can take a supplement, number one. Very, very cheap. But if you want to get sun, okay, well, get it on your arms or get it on your legs. It needs to be exposed for 10 minutes, like a leg or an arm, so you don't need to be out there. Your face doesn't need to be part of that. So that's one part of their claim, that, you know, we need the sun. Okay, we're gonna be in the sun. We're gonna get the sun. But I think the biggest part of that, and where the real hate comes from, is the chemicals, right?

Yes.

They're like, oh, it's so bad for you. Well, there are two kinds of sunscreen, right?

Yeah, let's talk about that.

You've got chemical-based sunscreen, so that Oxybenzone, it ain't something, you know, like 42 letters long. All these long chemicals in sunscreen, which penetrate your skin to help prevent burning. And I can't say that I am way tippy-top on this because I don't like these, right? But they penetrate your skin, so the heat still comes through, and everything penetrates. I don't like those either. I don't wanna push more chemicals into my… into my skin. We like, like COTZ here. We like a physical barrier. So that's either like zinc or titanium dioxide.

Yes.

And that's like when you think back to like the surfers or the lifeguards that had the big white noses.

Yeah.

That's like titanium dioxide pure. Now it's like a micronized kind. Right. So they don't have to have that big, thick cream, like we would look silly with white faces like that all the time. But now it's like micronized, it's more clear.

Right.

But what it does is instead of penetrating into your skin, it sits; it's always the last layer. You know, before makeup, I guess. But it goes on last. And now the sun just bounces right off of it.

Sure.

The sun does not penetrate into your skin. It is a physical barrier. That's why it's called a physical sunblock.

Yeah, that's nice.

So those are the ones that we like. I feel like these are the safe ones to use. I can understand not wanting all the chemicals. You know, penetrating your skin. Okay, fine. Okay, you can have a little bit of hate towards that. But you can't have hate towards a physical barrier.

Right.

That's just protecting. That's like, it's like standing in the shade times, just like having your hat on and being under the porch. You know, like the sun's not hitting you. Now you're safe that way. So I think the haters aren't keeping in mind that there are other types of protection out there, other types of sunblock that are a physical barrier. Not just those chemicals. Because that's what I always see. It's all these chemicals. We don't need. I understand that.

I agree.

Let's use a natural physical barrier. Titanium and zinc are natural.

Right. And you know, we talk a lot about the face. But I do get a lot of customers who will email about the body.

I wish. I have asked COTZ. I'm like, “Why don't you do a body product?”

Yeah.

Because these bottles are so small. Like, it's fine if you do an outing once in a while. I wish they would do a body product.

Sure.

But if you, because most body products are sprays, and those are all chemicals.

Yeah. Right.

And I've used them too.

Me too.

Like, that's the easiest way to get it on yourself if you're like, you know, outside. It's all you can do. But, you know, if you can use a cream, if you can use something with titanium or zinc, that's what you want to use.

You're better.

Those are the safer ones. But yeah, that's going to be rubbed on.

Like, what I tend to do on the boat, at least after a foray in Florida, is I'll get some sun for like 30 minutes or whatever, shirt off, all that stuff, kind of get my sun, and then I'll put on a rash guard that goes down to my hand so that I'm not putting on all this SPF over and over.

Right.

Yes.

Yeah.

Yeah, because there are actual clothes with built-in SPF ratings.

Yes.

And especially if you're living in places like Florida, California, Hawaii, or other areas with year-round warm, intense sun. That's what I would do. I don't live in an area like that. But if I did, I would probably have to do something like that because I'm like, I'm fair. I would just burn.

Well, and you know that you see all the toddlers' bathing suits and such now have long sleeves and hats. Yes. And I know, you know, my kids, adult children, live in Florida, and I know my son is always wearing certain shirts that have the SPF built into the shirts.

Yep.

Long sleeve. And I'll say, aren't you sweating? You have this long sleeve. Nope. Nope. It's super breathable.

Probably like wearing pantyhose or something.

He's like, believe it or not.

I mean, it's worth it to be a little hotter than not.

Sure. It's brutal.

It's so much harsher.

Yeah, it really is.

Than up here in Michigan.

Yes, for sure. But yeah, that's an important point.

I really like this mineral stick, too, for when you are out and about on the boat. This is a really good one because you can just apply that over top. Super easy.

Good for reapplication.

Reapplication. Yeah. It's amazing.

Yeah.

There are two types of, two groups of people out there. You know, the ones that are never going to use sunscreen. They are just anti-sunscreen, and they're like, "I'm not doing it."

Even though we're trying to convince you otherwise.

Exactly.

And you know, they really should do their due diligence and do a little bit more research, as you have done here, because obviously, using a good physical sunscreen is safe. This is anti-non-communogenic. It's not going to clog pores. It's got this physical barrier. It's got all of these great ingredients. So, you know, we know we may not convince everyone.

Right.

But, you know, this kind of little discussion.

But hopefully, we win some of you over.

Maybe you can, you know, help them a little bit with this discussion and let them do more research.

Should I show the picture of the guy again? Because, no, I'm just saying like…

Yeah, like this is what's going to happen to you.

This is where aging comes from.

Yeah.

Yeah, it is. That is nothing but sun damage. And he doesn't even have any pigmentation. Maybe there's a little bit of darkness there.

It's like so much collagen loss. Look at the left side.

His skin is just hanging there.

Yeah.

Versus look at the other side. Look at how... Especially, you can see the cheek and the nose, and where he wasn't getting that direct. Obviously, he got a little bit on his upper eyelid over there. But, I mean, he's on his truck 24-7.

28 years on the road.

You can tell the side that had the sun. So, let's get you using something. And not every single SPF has to be, you know, gross feeling or slimy or sticky or anything like that. There are lots of different alternatives. And I would say my favorite one is the flawless complexion. And this one has a light tint. It comes in two colors. There's a light tint and a richly tinted for those with darker skin types. And I think this easily blends into any skin color, from the very lightest to the very darkest. You know, you just choose accordingly. And this one I really like because I don't like putting on makeup. Like, when I say 'makeup,' I mean foundation. I'll put on blush and things like that. But I don't wear any foundation. And I feel like this: if you don't want to wear foundation, less is more. And I think as we're aging and trying to look our best, like I know most of our customers are, you don't want to put extra layers of makeup on a foundation. I have yet to find a foundation. Like I've looked for the old lady foundation.

They're not fabulous, no.

There's nothing. They all make you look older because they settle into the lines.

A lot of them need to be finished with a powder, and then they just…

And then the powder makes you look worse. So it's like using something like this, which has a little bit of a tint, I think, is like a great in-between. So I love this one. And then if you don't want any tint, we have the sensitive. This one is SPF 40. This can be put on like... This one was made for people who have had procedures such as chemical peels, laser treatments, and similar treatments. This is something that you can put on after treatments like that. It's very non-irritating.

And that one does say face and body on the front. So like you could absolutely... It's a little bit larger bottle than the other ones.

Yeah, this is a bit fatter than the others.

It's a little bit bigger. That one's maybe a three-ounce versus maybe a one-point.

No, I can't read without my glasses on. Hold on.

Yeah, this is 2.5.

Yeah, three and a half ounces.

Okay, and this is 2.5, which is flawless.

And that's two and a half. So yeah, you could use this one for the face and the body.

Yes.

I just think, like, if you know you're gonna be in the sun every single day for weeks upon end, you're gonna run out quickly. But great option for that. And then for those that... Here's another one. This is called Face. This is for someone with an oilier skin type.

I like that one.

This is very motivating. So a lot of times, those people have acne or really oily skin. I think this is... And this is probably... This is the smallest bottle. Let me open this one.

Yeah, that one's maybe the biggest.

This one's really small. That's the one you like.

I like this one too. And to be honest, I have put that on over my makeup. So, like I know you said earlier, put that on and then your makeup. Well, I have reapplied it over my makeup, and you're still okay. Okay. You know what I mean? It goes on. You only need a tiny bit of it.

Yes. And it does have a nice feel to it. And if you are shiny, it will mattify that shine in a hot second. Like it's gone.

Yeah.

If you're concerned with shininess. This is a good one.

The only caveat to that one... I know its weakness well because I use it all summer long. For someone who gets a little on the sweatier side, if you put it up like... Because I wear a hat on the boat.

Oh yeah.

Right?

All of my hats have it on the brim.

So if I get a little sweaty, it like runs down. It's just like a... It's like a... Like I waxed my face and threw water at it, and it just runs off. So what I tend to do is I do it up to my eyes, and then I basically get it through here, and I don't put it where my hat is.

Right.

There you go. Because if your hat's on, I mean, that's blocking the sun too.

For sure.

And then this one... You were talking about this one. This is an SPF of 45. This is the mineral stick. And this one feels really good too. It does. This is... This has a little light tint. I don't want to say... I don't want to take the top top off, but you can see there's a hint of color here, but it doesn't…

It glides on really nicely.

It's like... I don't even know how to describe it. It's almost. It's got a powdery finish.o it.

Yeah. Almost like a powder mixed with an ointment. I don't know. It's such a straight…

For sure.

A moisturizing powder kind of feel. Yeah. This is a great one, too. I was really excited when they came out with this one because it's hard to reapply SPF. It is. when you're gone. And this is super easy. You just swipe, swipe, swipe, and rub it in.

Yes.

I think that's super.

My daughter Chloe confiscated mine from the boat.

She likes that one.

Fourth of July. She's like, yep, this is coming home with me.

Yep. And then we don't want to forget the lips. Right? So they have... And this is a great lip balm. I think this is a super one, and it's SPF 45.F 45. So, I mean, especially if you're doing lip peels, anything like that. Like, you always want to protect your lips, and I think this is a super one, and it has a really interesting flavor to it. It's like such a different flavor. Like, I can't even put my finger on what it is.

It's got a little bit of a tint to it as well. But it doesn't go on.

But it doesn't tint your lips.

No, it doesn't go on as a tint. It doesn't look like…

No, it looks like it's tinted. Like, you see that.

Yeah.

But... Here, I'm just... I'll probably just take this one home. I mean, all right. I guess, like, now that I put that on really thick, you could see it. But I can, like, totally…

Yeah, but when it's on your lips, you don't. Just rub it in

Totally rub it in.

Anybody could use that one, for sure. There you go.

There's that... I don't know what the flavor is. It's a different flavor.

Does it have any kind of smell? Let me smell it.

I haven't used it in a while.

This one's probably been…

I have one in my bag. I always carry it with me when I travel.

It does have a little…

I use it a lot.

Yeah.

Yeah, I like it. I think it's really moisturizing. I think this is a great SPF.

And like we said, reapply often. Apply enough. A lot of times, we're not applying enough sunscreen.

Yeah, let's talk about that for a second. Like, SPF isn't a moisturizer.

Yes.

You need to put a lot on. And you need to feel like you're putting too much on, really. Like, you're supposed to put it on, like, literally the full length of your finger. And I'll be honest, I don't always do the full length of my finger. But I do, like, a big glob at the end.

Sure.

Like, yeah, maybe... I guess it depends on how thick that line is.

Very true.

Maybe I am doing that much. But you really should have so much on that you feel like it takes a minute to, like, get it everywhere. And you might go a little further. Like, you need a lot of it because you're creating a barrier. You know, you don't want to be skimpy. You don't want to be skimpy with your barrier. And it is going to, like, meld in and be fine and dandy in a couple of minutes. But make sure you're putting enough on, because if you're not, if you're putting a tiny, tiny pea-size on, you're getting about half the SPF protection. Those SPF properties are tested with a good, generous coating.

Got it. Yeah.

And they are tested, you know, because you have to know what that SPF…

Right.

That's not just a plain number.

Sure.

It's a tested number. But it's, like, half. Half. Like, if this says 50 and you're barely putting on, like, what you would put on your face, like a little tiny baby pump, you're getting about 25.

Got it. Yeah.

So you really have to make sure you put enough on.

And you know how, like, when you have a toddler, how you are so, oh, put the sunscreen on, reapply, reapply.

You care about their skin.

Well, it's like, you know, we have skin, too. Like, let's not forget about it's the same skin as your little, you know, toddler baby has.

And if you had babied your skin like you babied your child's skin, you'd probably have your skin in better shape.

Right.

And the reason I think we pay so much attention to the little ones is because, you know, you don't want them to get sunburned, okay? And, you know, but you're not really thinking of any damage.

Yeah, you're not thinking about all the other damage that's happening every single day.

Right.

And when it's like wintertime and stuff, I mean, you don't put it on their faces, but you should be.

Yeah. Especially if you're in the water, too, because you get the reflection from the water and you know how the little ones always get the rosy cheeks right away because they're, you know, in the water floating up and down and, you know, so yeah.

Yeah, they're getting that like sun damage, sunburn.

So treat your skin as you would your toddler's.

Right. In the midst of summertime, in the pool, that's how you should be treating your skin every single day.

Honestly, yeah. Treat yourself like you would treat your baby.

Yeah.

Especially if you want to look your best for as long as possible.

I mean, we are trying to ward off aging. We want this to slow down.

And nothing against natural aging. I mean, like the people who are like, just age naturally and stop fighting. No, no. I'm not gonna fight that. I'm sorry. I'm not embracing wrinkles and damage and stuff all over my face, but I'm not being crazy about it either.t it. I mean, I'm just, I'm doing good, normal things for the benefit of myself and my skin, and so I can feel good with, you know, how I look. You know, because I mean, you have to love your skin that you're in. You can't, that's the thing, when you're in the pool, when I talk to people and, you know, respond back and forth on social media and all that kind of stuff, and they're like, “Oh my gosh, I just can't believe how much, how good my skin looks.” I'm like, “I love my skin.” Like people told me how beautiful, like I had nothing. My makeup wasn't on. My hair wasn't done. I went to the bank, right? And then, oh, your skin is so pretty. It's like, wow. I mean, doesn't that make you feel like a million dollars? Like that, you really have to, you know, think about things like that. You know, when you can feel good in your skin, I mean, gosh, your whole life is better.

Absolutely. And it's not just SPF, like we said. It's fighting it with the DNA enzyme, repair enzymes as well. So, like, if you're fighting it with the cell intel, the PDRN, and the…

Yeah, these two.

You know, if you're doing that and this and a lot of our makeups and things have SPFs built in, but it's not enough because you're not putting on your makeup that heavily.

And it's such a small amount. They always say "includes SPF," but it's like 15.

And you're putting a half a little thing on there and rubbing it in and buffing it with, you're not getting SPF from that.

So you definitely need to hit it with all the bases. And for those anti-sunscreen individuals out there, you know.

Try to, try to take another look because it's so easy to say, oh, no, I don't want that. And, you know, and then in 30 years you're going to look at yourself in the mirror, and you're going to look like that guy and the, you know, the truck driver guy and be really sad that you didn't care about your skin enough to protect it.

They just haven't found the right sunscreen for them yet.

I think that's probably it, right? You need to find something that works with your And if you don't like putting on makeup and stuff, that's why I think the Flawless one is amazing.zing.

Yeah, we sell a lot of that.

Even your skin tone a little bit. I think that's a, just a super choice. If you don't like to put stuff on, you don't like to put makeup on, you don't want a lot of product, just get your SPF on.
