Why Skincare Feels Like a Scam (and What Actually Works)
This makes your skin turn over more quickly, so we're going to get rid of the dull damage layers, pigmentation, acne, problems like that, and new, fresh skin is going to come up more quickly. You're exfoliating it, you're turning it over, you're healing it. Just things like that are going to make your skin look healthier and glowier in a matter of a week or two.
That's what they're looking for. They're looking for that glow. They're looking for their skin just to have a fresh appearance.

Today, we're going to touch base on things that customers may have tried that aren't working, and they get discouraged.
Yup.
And I get the phone call where it's like, “Okay, I've tried everything. Do these products really work? I don't want to waste any more money.”
I get it.
You know, open their medicine cabinet, and they have a plethora of…
22 bottles of different things.
22 bottles of this and that that had a, ‘Oh, you do this, and you're going to get an instant fix here, an instant fix there.’
That's because everything's a sales pitch, especially when you're on social media and things like that.
For sure.
And that's why we have to be so careful with what we use and what the people that we share our results and stuff with.
That's why I don't feel comfortable; generally, people reach out to me, “Oh, I'm a TikTok influencer. Could you please send me some products so I can create some videos?”
I'm like, “That's not our focus here.” I said, “My focus is on customers. If you reach out to me and you've been using my products, and you are already seeing changes, I'll work with you.”
I said, because there is no use for it one time. There is no instant fix. I said, I need somebody who's serious, or who already understands how the products work and that they do work.
I said that because then, when you know it works, it's super simple for you on your end. Let's say you're an affiliate of some sort.
To tell your story.
Super simple for you to sell that product because you are over the moon about your results. So when people are doing all of these little shorts and little ads and all these influencers out there, “This is going to make your thigh fat melt away after three uses.”
It's like, come on, let's not go there. I want to see some real pictures. I want to see real people who have been really using it. That's what you're going to see on our website.
Yes, and our products are pretty strong. They're professional-grade products. It's not like you could walk into a CVS or a Walgreens or any department store, I should say, probably.
Certainly not like acids and similar substances. You're not going to find a 15% serum with our pH level. You won't find a 30% serum.
No.
Because number one, I don't feel safe selling to just anybody.
Very, very good point. Very good point. That's why the percentages are so small when you are in the drugstore. It's minuscule.
It has to be safe for absolutely anybody to pick that up. It has to be safe for a 12-year-old to walk in there and buy that face cream and use it and not have any kind of bad results.
Correct.
So you're finding things in 1%, 2%, or 5% maximum with an acid. And when you're looking at our ingredients, like I joke, I was just talking to my chemist the other day, and I was like, “Listen, I need more of this in here.”
He's like, he goes, “Listen, I know how you are.” He goes, no matter what, there's at least, he goes, whatever the record, there's at least 50% more of whatever it's telling me I put in. He's like, “I know, I know.”
Yes, yes.
I'm like, “All right. We need more.”
We want the most active ingredients of that formula to be stable. And you know, it's just the way we do things here.
And it costs more to make these products than it does the products that are in the store. You know, big brand names and things like that. They spend a lot more money on their advertising and things, and a lot less money on their products.
We're the opposite of that. We spend more money on our products and less money on our advertising.
Absolutely. Absolutely. A significant amount of education goes into this product. A lot of research.
I don't think anybody educates like we do.
No one educates like we do. And that is so important. That is one of the primary reasons, as I do get calls on occasion. “Why do I have to set up an account to order on your website? Why can't I check out as a guest?”
Well, it's because once you order a product, we are going to educate you on, let's say, you're ordering a TCA Peel.
Yeah.
You know, we're going to send you a video.
A series.
Send you an email with some warnings, and you know exactly how to use the product. And we just want you to be educated and understand what you have and what you're using, because these are more of a professional strength product.
What we sell here is far superior to anything you're going to find in a drugstore shelf. And that's why it can be discouraging for our customers when they open their medicine cabinet and find 50 bottles of different things.
50 bottles of promises, empty promises sitting there.
Yeah.
But yeah, this is a very different situation.
It is. It really is. And they're always excited to find us, but they're apprehensive as well.
Understandable. Understandably so.
Yes.
They know that they've been sold a lie in the past.
Yes.
So let's talk about how sometimes your skin can look tired, and it just doesn't look fabulous. And it just, no matter what you're using, you're probably using some inferior products. What are some key products to really get you kind of going and get your cells turning over and get everything where you can start to see some improvement, so that you're on the right track?
Yeah. I mean, well, obviously number one is exfoliation.
Yes.
If you just do something as simple as using one of our acid cleansers, what is this Revitalizing?
Okay. This is 10% glycolic acid. That may not seem like a lot, but for everyday use, it is. When you put this on, you wash your face.
If you've never used an acid cleanser before, and you wash your face with this the first time, you're just like, “Wow.” Because it literally starts to remove dead skin gently.
Smoother, tighter.
And once that dead skin comes off, then your skin can glow a little bit more. It's smoother and more refined.
If you do use makeup and other kinds of products, they're going to lie more nicely. You're going to have that gorgeous skin that people are looking at in ads that are blurred out. You're going to have that for real if you're using products like this.
And another thing that helps your skin to glow and be really healthy is antioxidants. I think we have, oh yeah, like vitamin C and ubiquinone, resveratrol, things like that.
These help your skin to glow, and they're fixing damage as you go, right? So you have to fix these damages. So exfoliate, fix your damage, and use like a retinoid, you know, we have our Fusion A's, have three different retinoids in here.
Use something like this. This makes your skin turn over more quickly.
Yeah.
So we're going to get rid of the dull damage layers, pigmentation, acne, problems like that. And new, fresh skin is going to come up more quickly.

Glass skin. And it's not always a matter of putting layers and layers of serums and oils on. You know, you can get that by removing the dead skin and stimulating that turnover. So then you have fewer layers of dead skin.
So that fresh baby skin underneath, it's healthier and glowy and dewy. And that's the look that people are going for.
And obviously, you can speed that up with things like peels and other treatments. But that's just the simple basics of it.

It is because anybody with a PayPal account can use it. So I think that would be your best option.

Then you can get the whole rigmarole out of the way and get started. But mind you, you don't necessarily want to start every product on the same day.

You've got to ease into things. Ease in, like cleansers, you might be dry for a couple of weeks.
Retinoids, you've got to start for a couple of days only. Add on days.
You may, I mean, don't dive into this to use products every day. So if you get five fresh new products in the mail, don't think you're going to run and put all five of them on at once.
Yeah.
It's probably, you may get away with it day one, but you know, in a couple of days, your skin's going to be dry. I would even with the cleanser start every other day, slowly, just to see how your skin reacts for at least a couple of days.
Yeah. I think we've decided that you can do like your cleanser, your antioxidant, your moisturizer. You can start with those.
That's nice.
Ease into that in your first two weeks, then, if you get your treatment serums, such as Fade Bright and your retinoid.
Okay. Well, use one of those a few times per week. Then add the other one a few times per week, easing into it. So, you're not dealing with irritation, excess irritation, because with strong products, you have to work into it.

Well, and here's a little hint too. Like you just made me think, because I'm looking at this. There are a lot of times when customers come to us. I believe this is a super option, mainly because there's this big open space on top of these bottles.

They'll just like write a number on there. Like layer one, layer two, layer three, layer four.
Oh, yes.
And they'll like number these.
Yes.
Or AM or PM. You can do that. Nobody's going to see these bottles but you.
I have literally done that for customers in our lobby.
Yeah.
You know, when they're buying things and they're like, they want this, they want that. But then when they get to the register, they're like, “Oh no.”
“Now, I don't know what goes in first.”
And it does make it super simple for them.
And mind you, it is also on the bottles. For instance, let's say I don't know which layer.
There you go.
Not every single one, but we're working on getting it on every single one. As this shows, layer one is, let's say, a toner, then serums, and finally creams. And then it marks which one this is.
Like, oh, this is a serum. So if this is layer one, layer two. And I realize that there are many times when you might have six different layers.
Sure.
That's okay.
Yeah.
It doesn't, as long as you have multiple instances of the same layer; the order in which you place them doesn't matter.
Yeah, yeah.
Right? It's fine. Just put them on. Nothing, even if you put things on in the wrong order, nothing terrible is going to happen. I just can't stress that enough.
We teach you the orders to put them on, only to help aid in penetration of ingredients as easy as can be. No matter what, they're all going to get in there. It might happen more slowly.
And most people are just really keen on putting things on correctly. So we're trying to make that easy for you.
Yes, absolutely.
I know that sometimes, too much thought is put into the layering factor.
I feel like people go a little bit overboard.
Yeah. And I think it's when they start adding on more things. Like they'll begin with the kind of meat and potatoes things, like the Platinum Protocol, then they'll start adding things like potions and this and that, and adding more. And then that's when they get a little bit confused.
