Progressive Peel Directions

 Platinum Progressive Peel

If you are searching for these general types of skin improvements, Stubborn acne, Melasma, Fine lines and wrinkles, Freckles, Blotchy pigmentation, Rough skin texture, then the Platinum Progressive Peel is the choice for you.

This is NOT a beginner peel. The Platinum Progressive Peel is a strong peel. Expect downtime and a good deal of peeling to occur over a time frame of 4-6 days. The more preparation you do the quicker your healing will be.

To prepare for a PPP and get your skin into a hyper state of repair, please do the following:  For a minimum of two weeks, begin and end each day by washing with a pH acidic cleanser. If you have pigmented skin, or are a darker Fitzgerald skin type, apply a tyrosine inhibitor such as our Fade Bright serum, immediately after cleansing. Apply an anti-oxidant such as High Octane Vitamin C, and an SPF 30+ cream each day. In the evening apply Retinol (.10, .20 or .30), RetinA™ or a Glycolic Serum to gently prime the skin.

***If you are prone to Herpes Simplex (have a doctor prescribe Zovirax for you). You should not have a chemical peel if you are going to continue to have sun exposure, have warts, history of Keloidal scarring, and any type of recent facial surgical procedures. You should not have a chemical peel if you've used Accutane in the last year (it will increase your chances of scarring), or if you are pregnant or lactating. If you have any auto immune diseases, have had any recent radioactive or Chemotherapy treatments.

This peel can be done no more than one time per month with the Mild application. Medium may be done one time every 4-7 weeks and Strong one time every 3-4 months. The combination of TCA, Lactic, Salicylic, Resorcinol and Vitamin A will improve many skin irregularities. Expect to perform 3-4 peels to reach the best outcome.

AFTERCARE for all strengths:  Peel day, apply Step #4 only. *No other ointments are necessary.   On Day 2 you may apply healing ointments such as Emu oil, Aquaphor or another mild moisturizer. If you have pigmentation you may also apply the Fade Bright. Do not use acids or other exfoliating products until peeling is complete and skin is back to normal. Do NOT pull at any loose skin. Gently snip off with nail scissors if needed. Keep hydrated and allow skin to peel naturally. Preferably go back to your regimen on day 10.

After you have prepared your skin for a minimum of 2 weeks, choose your peel strength. Mild, Medium or Strong.  using RetinA or Retinol products for at least 3-5 days prior to your peel.
